Feast in the Field is Mountain Roots Food Project’s signature summer gathering celebrating the land, the people who grow our food, and the many hands that make a local harvest possible. From farmers and ranchers in the soil to volunteers packing food boxes, chefs at the stove, and the neighbors whose generosity helps ensure families across our valley have access to fresh, healthy meals.

Join us for our Rooted at the Table Dinner Series (dinner #3)- an intimate, curated gathering featuring local food, farmers and flavor. Our guest chef will create a delicious multi-course menu including local, seasonal ingredients. Each course will be paired with a delicious wine offering. Throughout the evening, our chef and a local producer/farmer will speak about the food and our local food system. Take part in this special evening sampling and learning about local food while supporting Mountain Roots Food Project.

These special evenings will celebrate local food, local producers, community, and the mission of Mountain Roots, with a beautiful seasonal dinner using local ingredients prepared and served by rotating guest chefs. All dishes will be paired with a selection from Buckel Family Wine. The tables will be set with flowers arranged by Annie Amrich from Janniebird Farm. And- each dinner will invite a local producer to speak and share their story of growing food in the Gunnison Valley.
